Young Lives VS Cancer Saturday 4th July 2026
On the 4th July Bare Hill Lakes is hosting a charity event to fundraise for Young Lives vs Cancer - a cause very close to our hearts.
Last November, our 3-year-old nephew Jack was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer. Overnight our lives were turned upside down.
The support from Young Lives vs Cancer was invaluable. As everything fell apart, they stepped in to help make an unbearable situation more manageable. They provided accommodation close to the hospital giving Jack’s family a home from home, allowing his brother to visit at weekends and spend precious time together. Their specialist social worker regularly visited the ward offering much needed practical and emotional support.
Please come enjoy the day, have a swim, support the entertainment, or donate whatever you can. Every penny raised will go to Young Lives vs Cancer, and all staff at the lake are donating their time for free. Together let’s make a difference for families facing childhood cancer.
